Dear Katie is about a constant struggle with mental health. ‘Katie’ is the name that Caitlin gave her personification of depression, the idea being that you can try and talk to her, try to work things out and try to find ways of fighting against her. However, this song is primarily about Katie winning, and her nasty habit of choosing to come back at a point where life is already at it's hardest.

An erratic journey of fast-changing sonics and hair-raising tensions, 'Dear Katie' shows off Oystercatcher's darker and heavier influences.
